Texas Just Took the Most Savage Step Yet Against the Missing Lawmakers…

In an assertive effort to bring absent lawmakers back to the Capitol, the Texas House has decided to cut off direct deposit payments for the Democratic members who left the state. They will not receive their salaries until they return to Texas in person.

On top of that, each absent lawmaker is being fined $500 for every day they remain away, causing penalties to accumulate rapidly and tensions to rise in Austin.

This action follows weeks of political deadlock, during which Democrats walked out to prevent voting on certain legislation. Texas officials say this step is meant to apply pressure directly where it matters most — the lawmakers’ finances.

The situation has sparked heated debate nationwide. Supporters argue that these legislators neglected their responsibilities and must face consequences, while critics view the move as politically motivated retaliation.
